Don’t worry if you see many Kanji characters on the screen. Most ATMs in Japan have an “English” button, but sometimes you might find yourself at a local bank where only Japanese is available. Let’s learn the basic words together so you can handle your money with confidence!
画面に漢字がたくさんあっても心配しないでください。日本のほとんどのATMには「English」ボタンがありますが、時々日本語しかない地元の銀行もあります。自信を持ってお金を管理できるように、基本的な単語を一緒に学びましょう！

In Japan, ATMs are not just in banks! You can find them inside every Convenience Store (Konbini) like 7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart. They are open 24/7 and are very safe to use.

Here are the most common buttons you will see. Try to memorize the first character of each word to help you identify them quickly!

If you cannot find the ATM or need assistance, you can use these simple phrases. Don’t be shy; Japanese people are very helpful to students and travelers!
もしATMが見つからなかったり、助けが必要だったりするときは、これらの簡単なフレーズを使ってみてください。恥ずかしがらないでくださいね。日本人は学生や旅行者にとても親切ですよ！
* **”Sumimasen, ATM wa doko desu ka?”**
(Excuse me, where is the ATM?)
**すみません、ATMはどこですか？**
* **”Kono kādo wa tsukaemasu ka?”**
(Can I use this card?)
**このカードは使えますか？**
* **”Yarikata o oshiete kudasai.”**
(Please show me how to do it.)

⚠️ 注意 (Warning):
Watch out for Fees (Tesuuryō / 手数料)! Using an ATM late at night, on weekends, or at a different bank from yours usually costs between 110 to 330 yen extra.
手数料に注意しましょう！夜遅い時間、週末、または自分の銀行以外のATMを使うと、通常110円から330円の追加料金がかかります。
### 3. Step-by-Step: Withdrawing Cash (現金を引き出すステップ)
1. Insert your card into the slot marked **カード (Kādo)**.
2. Press **お引き出し (O-hikidashi)**.
3. Enter your 4-digit **暗証番号 (Anshō Bangō)** – PIN.
4. Enter the amount. Use the button **万 (Man)** for 10,000s and **千 (Sen)** for 1,000s.
5. Press **確認 (Kakunin)** to confirm.
1. **カード**と書かれたスロットにカードを入れます。
2. **お引き出し**を押します。
3. 4桁の**暗証番号**（ピンコード）を入力します。
4. 金額を入力します。1万円単位なら**万**、千円単位なら**千**のボタンを使います。
