皆さん、こんにちは！**サムライジャパン**の先生です。日本で生活する際、自転車はとても便利で人気のある移動手段です。学校や仕事に行くとき、あるいは近所を探索するとき、自転車は皆さんの最高のパートナーになります！

Today, I want to share 5 easy tips to help you ride like a local and stay safe. Let’s learn the rules and some useful Japanese words together! 🚲✨

今日は、皆さんが現地の人のように安全に自転車に乗れるよう、5つの簡単なコツをご紹介します。ルールと便利な日本語を一緒に学びましょう！🚲✨

### 1. Register Your Bike (Bouhan Touroku) 📋
In Japan, every bicycle must be registered for “Anti-Theft Registration” called **Bouhan Touroku**. If you buy a new bike at a shop, they will help you with this. If you get a bike from a friend, make sure to change the ownership name at a local bike shop!

日本では、すべての自転車は「**防犯登録（ぼうはんとうろく）**」をしなければなりません。自転車屋さんで新しい自転車を買うと、手続きを手伝ってくれます。もし友達から自転車をもらった場合は、近くの自転車屋さんで名義変更を忘れずに行いましょう！

### 2. Follow the Road Rules 🚦
In Japan, bicycles are generally expected to ride on the **left side** of the road. You can ride on the sidewalk only if there are signs allowing it or if it feels dangerous on the road. Remember: pedestrians (people walking) always have the priority!

日本では、自転車は原則として道路の**左側**を走ります。歩道を走れるのは、許可されている標識がある場合や、車道が危険な場合だけです。覚えていますか？歩行者（歩いている人）が常に優先ですよ！

### 3. Use Designated Parking Areas (Churinjo) 🅿️
Never park your bike on the street randomly! Japan is very strict about illegal parking. Your bike might be taken away by the city, and you’ll have to pay a fine to get it back. Always look for a **Churinjo** (Bicycle Parking Lot).

自転車を道端に適当に止めないでください！日本は不法駐輪に対してとても厳しいです。自転車が市役所に撤去されてしまうことがあり、取り戻すには罰金を払わなければなりません。必ず「**駐輪場（ちゅうりんじょう）**」を探しましょう。

### 4. Safety First: No Phones, No Umbrellas! 📱☂️
It is illegal and very dangerous to use your smartphone or hold an umbrella while riding. If it rains, please wear a **raincoat** instead. Also, make sure to turn on your bicycle **light** at night so drivers can see you.

運転中にスマートフォンを使ったり、傘をさしたりするのは法律違反で、とても危険です。雨が降ったら、代わりに**レインコート**を着てください。また、夜はドライバーから見えるように、必ず自転車の**ライト**をつけましょう。

### 5. Essential Phrases for the Bike Shop 🛠️
Sometimes your bike might need a check-up. Most shops offer free air for your tires! Here are some phrases you can use at a **Jitensha-ya** (Bike Shop).

時々、自転車の点検が必要になることがあります。ほとんどのお店では、タイヤの空気入れを無料で貸してくれます！「**自転車屋（じてんしゃや）**」で使えるフレーズをいくつか紹介します。

Can I put air in my tires?	空気をいれてもいいですか？ (Kuuki o iretemo ii desu ka?)
I have a flat tire.	パンクしました。(Panku shimashita.)
Please repair this.	修理をお願いします。(Shuuri o onegaishimasu.)
