When you start your journey to live and work in the Land of the Rising Sun, the very first thing you should learn isn’t a complex grammar rule—it is the art of **bowing**, known as **お辞儀 (Ojigi)**. In Japan, a bow is more than just a movement; it is a way to show respect, gratitude, and sincerity.
皆さん、こんにちは！**Samurai Japan**の講師です。日本で生活したり働いたりする夢を叶えるために、最初に学ぶべきことは難しい文法ではありません。それは「**お辞儀（おじぎ）**」の作法です。日本では、お辞儀は単なる動作ではなく、相手への尊敬、感謝、そして誠実さを示す大切な方法です。

いつも背筋を伸ばすことを忘れないでください！美しいお辞儀は、良い姿勢から始まります。首だけを曲げるのではなく、腰から曲げるのがコツですよ。
There are three main types of bows that you will use in your daily life and work in Japan. Knowing which one to use will help you make a great first impression on your Japanese colleagues and neighbors!
日本での生活や仕事で使うお辞儀には、主に3つの種類があります。どのお辞儀を使うべきかを知っておくことで、日本の同僚や近所の人たちに素晴らしい第一印象を与えることができます！

| 敬礼 (Keirei) | 30 degrees | Business meetings, meeting customers, or saying thank you. |
| 最敬礼 (Saikeirei) | 45 degrees | Deep respect, sincere apologies, or meeting very important people. |
The first one is **会釈 (Eshaku)**. This is a light bow of about 15 degrees. Use this when you see your coworkers in the morning or when you pass by someone you know on the street. It’s like a polite “Hello!”
1つ目は「**会釈（えしゃく）**」です。これは約15度の軽いお辞儀です。朝、同僚に会ったときや、道で知人とすれ違うときに使います。丁寧な「こんにちは！」という気持ちを込めます。
Next is **敬礼 (Keirei)**, the standard business bow of 30 degrees. This is the most common bow you will use when meeting a boss, a client, or entering an interview room. It shows that you are professional and respectful.
次は「**敬礼（けいれい）**」です。これは30度の標準的なビジネスのお辞儀です。上司や取引先に会うとき、または面接の部屋に入るときに最もよく使われます。プロフェッショナルで敬意を持っていることを示します。
Finally, we have **最敬礼 (Saikeirei)**. This is a deep bow of 45 degrees. It is used for very formal occasions, to show the highest level of respect, or when you need to offer a sincere apology.
最後は「**最敬礼（さいけいれい）**」です。これは45度の深いお辞儀です。非常にフォーマルな場面や、最高レベルの敬意を示すとき、または心からの謝罪をするときに使われます。
⚠️ 注意 (Caution):
Don’t talk while bowing! First, say your greeting (like “Ohayou gozaimasu”), then bow. This is called “Gosen-go-pu” (Word first, bow second). It looks much more elegant!
お辞儀をしながら話さないようにしましょう！まず挨拶（「おはようございます」など）を言い、そのあとにお辞儀をします。これは「語先後礼（ごせんごれい）」と呼ばれ、とても上品に見えますよ！
